When the surgery is closed

Please note that in an emergency your pharmacist is able to issue a prescription for 3 days drugs.

If you have an emergency out of hours you can now discuss it with a nurse at NHS Direct – telephone number: 0845 4647.

Our Doctors work together with doctors in the Havant and Cosham area in a collective group we call Portsmouth Out of Hours Service. If you have a problem which you feel cannot wait for routine surgery hours, please telephone our surgery (023 9246 6216 or 023 9246 8413) and listen to the telephone message.

The doctor you consult may feel your problem needs to have advice only. If they feel a home visit is needed they will of course arrange this alternatively, you may be asked to attend their treatment centre.
